When a person is addicted to heroin or another type of opioid, such as prescription painkillers, the withdrawal that occurs can often be enough to keep a person trapped in his or her addiction. Medication assisted treatment is designed to further a person's recovery process by alleviating withdrawal, reducing cravings, and blocking the effects of opioids through the use of medications, or maintenance drugs, such as methadone, Suboxone, Subutex, and Vivitrol. Decades of research has demonstrated that this method for treating an opioid addiction is not only safe, but effective in helping people regain control over their lives. Benefits of Medication Assisted Treatment An opioid addiction is one of the most difficult types of addiction to overcome. Those who are prescribed methadone, Subutex, Suboxone, or Vivitrol as part of a recovery maintenance program can benefit in the following ways and successfully overcome an addiction to opioids: * Medications used in medication assisted treatment are safe and pose no harm to one's body when taken as directed. * Methadone, Subutex, Suboxone, and Vivitrol are legal prescription medications. * Medication assisted treatment reduces the risks associated with injection drug use. * Cravings for continued drug use are significantly lessened, thus reducing the risk for relapse. * Withdrawal symptoms caused by opioids are alleviated, allowing an individual to resume a productive life.

Your hrs.are wrong they are 6:15 to 10:30 on Saturday. My counsler Eric and the nurses are really great the Dr.as well.this program has saved my life however I live an hr.and a half away.I came in to do both of my groups needed for take homes. I specifically stopped the counsler working the floor as soon as I came in and I came in when they opened told her I was going to do group so if I needed to get out of line plz.let me know. I was told I was two min.late WOW really. Only thing I can think is since I was the only one there for group they didn't want to mess with it if they don't like there job they shouldn't be there. It would be different had I not been there when they opened and told the lady I was there for group. They didn't come out and call group or anything... Its just BS..

Ive been here several times. Overall it saved my life many of times, but i feel they need to be more organized and more involved. They need to not be so harsh over balances patients owe from the past. Im not saying to not make them pay it but not everyone can pay it off at high rates i have been kicked out over my balance many times even though i was making a effort to the best of my ability.
